JonRay Insurance, Inc, would like to help you handle  and resolve, in the best way possible, the inconvenience of an accident by giving you some easy steps to follow and remember:

 Vehicle

 

Before anything happens to you, you should write down the important names and phone numbers you may need in the event of an accident such as:

  • Insurance Company.
  • Police/ambulance.
  • Towing Company.
  • Family, friends number. And keep them handy in a card inside your glove compartment.

 

What To Do After An Auto Accident

 

  • Do not leave the scene.
  •  
     DO NOT discuss "fault" or make statements about the accident to anyone but the police.
  •  Ask to see the other driver's license and write down the number.
  •  Exchange insurance company information.
  •  Help or get help for injured people if needed.
  •  Have a camera in the car ands take pictures.
  •  Call police if necessary.
  •  Call for a Tow, make sure you know the towing Co. and where the car is being towed.
  •  Call the insurance Agency o Company and ask for advises.
  •  Do not loose your temper, ask for help to family or friends.

   

 

Property

 

In case of losses to covered property see the following

must do's:

 

  • Give promt notice to your Company and/or agent.
  • Protect the property from futher damages.
  • Ask for a damage estimate.
  • Make reasonable and necessary repairs to protect the property.
  • Keep acurate records of repair expenses.
  • Prepare an inventory of damaged personal property showing the quantity, description, actual cash value and amount of loss. 
  • Attach all bills, receipts and related documents that justify the figures in the inventory.
  • Show the damaged property if possible.
  • Provide the company with a copy of the records and documents.
  • List  specifications of damaged building and detailed  repair estimates.
  • Have an inventory of damaged personal property. 
  • Keep the receipts for additional living expenses incurred and record that suppor the claim.
